Migratory birdwatching walk on the FGT-RJ connector trail May 9th

Park at the new parking area off of N. Madison Ave.
This is led by the Friends of Cardinal Valley

Join us for World Migratory Bird Day at the Cardinal Valley Habitat Restoration Area in Webb City, Missouri on May 9, 2026 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. We will walk the new Joplin Trail Coalition trail through this former mining landscape that is gradually returning to functioning wildlife habitat. Spring migration is underway, and birds moving through the area make each visit a little different. Friends of Cardinal Valley will be along the route to share observations and help point out bird activity as we walk. Binoculars and cameras are welcome. Migration often brings surprises, even among familiar species. This is a natural site with uneven terrain, so please wear appropriate footwear. Park at new trailhead on the west side of N. Madison Ave. https://maps.app.goo.gl/CcAtdLDw9kxzGvzH9
